Care Deputy Manager

About the role

The Care Deputy Manager will support the Service Manager in delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. Based in a newly built supported‑living site in Selby, you will help create a safe, empowering environment where residents can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership to the care team and ensure smooth operation of the service.
• Support residents in accessing meaningful activities, community outings and social events.
• Implement and monitor person‑centred care plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Assist the Service Manager with staffing, scheduling and performance management.
• Promote effective communication with residents, families and external partners.

Required profile

• Experience working in supported‑living or similar health‑care settings, preferably with learning disabilities or autism.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong understanding of person‑centred approaches and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable to individual communication needs.
