Care Home Support Worker – £21 per hour (Island Placements)

About the role
Join a dedicated team delivering high‑quality care on Scotland’s stunning islands. You will work either within a residential care home or provide community‑based support, committing to a minimum three‑month block with 45+ hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Provide personal care, medication administration and safe moving‑and‑handling for older adults.
- Support residents directly in a care home environment, following long‑day or night shift patterns.
- For community placements, visit multiple client homes each day, delivering care and assistance.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to health‑and‑safety standards.
Required profile
- At least 1 year of experience supporting older adults in a care setting.
- Ability to work independently and comfortably in lone‑working situations.
- Driving licence preferred for care‑home roles; mandatory for community placements on Orkney.
- Previous experience on islands or in remote locations is highly beneficial.

What we offer
- Flat rate of £21 per hour (Umbrella) or £17.91 per hour (PAYE).
- Guaranteed 45+ hours per week, scheduled 5‑6 days.
- Three‑month contracts with the possibility of extension.
