Care Home Support Worker – £23 per hour (3‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking motivated Care Home Support Workers to join 3‑month contracts on the Scottish Islands, providing high‑quality care to older adults in residential homes or community settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care and support to residents within a care home.
• Provide in‑home care, visiting multiple clients per day.
• Administer medication safely and follow moving‑and‑handling procedures.
• Work flexible shifts, including long days, split shifts or night hours.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with the care team.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience supporting older adults.
• Ability to work independently and handle lone‑working situations.
• Willingness to travel to and reside on remote island locations.
• Driving licence preferred for care‑home role; mandatory for community role.
• Female candidates preferred for certain personal‑care tasks, though males may also be considered.

Required skills

• Medication administration.
• Safe moving and handling techniques.
