Care Support Worker – Children’s Residential Care (Epilepsy & Complex Needs)

About the role

The Care Support Worker will work in St Elizabeth’s Children’s Residential Home in Much Hadham, supporting young people aged 5‑19 who have epilepsy and other complex medical or developmental needs. The role involves helping children with daily routines, personal care, education, therapy and community activities, while contributing to a safe and nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide person‑centred care and support.
• Assist with personal care, wellbeing and daily routines.
• Encourage participation in education, play, therapy and outings.
• Support activities such as swimming, baking, shopping and outings.
• Record care notes and progress in line with safeguarding standards.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including nurses, therapists and teachers.
• Follow care plans and behaviour support strategies.
