Care Team Leader / Senior Care Assistant – Full‑time Luxury Residential Care

About the role

We are seeking a Care Team Leader / Senior Care Assistant to join our luxury residential care home in Hitchin. The role involves delivering compassionate, person‑centred care to elderly residents, including those living with dementia, while leading the care team across day or night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individualized care and support to residents, promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing.
• Support residents with dementia and age‑related frailty, ensuring a safe environment.
• Administer medication safely and accurately, maintaining up‑to‑date medication records.
• Lead shifts, supervise and mentor junior care staff, and ensure accurate care documentation.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families and multidisciplinary team members.

Required profile

• Previous experience in residential elderly care, preferably in a luxury setting.
• Experience supporting residents with dementia and frailty.
• Reliable, confident and flexible with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Own transport preferred due to rural location.
