Care Worker – Adult Social Care (Learning Disabilities)

About the role

Join the Tynedale Centre team in Hexham to support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. You will help service users enjoy a range of activities while promoting independence and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide physical, personal and emotional care to service users.
• Prepare and serve meals and drinks.
• Administer medication following training.
• Facilitate community access and organise recreational activities such as swimming, horse‑riding, bowling, music therapy, gardening and sensory walks.
• Communicate with service users and colleagues, produce reports and share information.
• Collaborate to achieve and review individual care plans.
• Attend training, supervisions, appraisals and team meetings.

Required profile

• Creative, enthusiastic and caring individual.
• Committed to delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 9 am‑4 pm in a vibrant, supportive environment.
• Willingness to engage in a variety of activities and support independence.
