Care Worker – Scottish Islands (Argyll & Bute, Western Isles, Orkney, Shetland)

About the role

Randstad Care is seeking experienced care professionals for placements across the Scottish islands – Argyll & Bute, the Western Isles, Orkney and Shetland. You will work in care homes, home‑care services or supported‑living settings, providing essential support to residents.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care and daily living assistance to service users.
• Support individuals in home‑care or supported‑living environments.
• Collaborate with senior staff and follow care plans.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate any changes in condition.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in care or support roles.
• Active SSSC registration or willingness to register.
• Current PVG Scheme membership.

What we offer

• Competitive pay – £19.00/hr for HCAs & Support Workers, £21.50/hr for senior roles (PAYE rolled‑up).
• Shared accommodation provided for the entire placement.
• Travel reimbursement for ferry journeys to and from the islands.
• Flexible placement length – minimum 12 weeks, up to 6 months.
• Eligibility for up to 2 weeks paid holiday after 12 weeks.
