Cargo Operations Agent – Airport Logistics

About the role

The Cargo Operations Agent ensures smooth handling of inbound and outbound air cargo, supporting Air Canada’s commitment to service excellence. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will manage cargo acceptance, regulatory compliance, and SLA performance at a major airport hub.

Key responsibilities

• Accept, assign and process cargo for inbound and outbound flights, adhering to CAA and Border Force regulations.
• Handle hazardous, valuable, live, and perishable shipments, including all required paperwork.
• Respond to queries from customers, warehouse staff, load planning, and regulatory agencies.
• Process rack & bond checks, bad order reports, customs failures, and weight discrepancies.
• Maintain SLA compliance for cargo status processing and achieve Cargo iQ milestones.
• Coordinate with transport companies for UK/EU cargo movements and liaise with LHR Cargo Reservations for priority bookings.
• Maintain required airside ID pass and complete ACU online training.

Required profile

• Previous cargo handling experience is an advantage.
• Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom at the time of hire.
• Good verbal and written English with high accuracy.
• Security training approved by CAA/DFT.
