Cargo Warehouse Operative

About the role

Join a leading cargo ground handling company at London Heathrow Airport as a Cargo Warehouse Operative. You will work in a fast‑paced warehouse environment, supporting major airline partners to move cargo safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo from vehicles using forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment.
• Build and break down Unit Load Devices (ULDs) such as PAGs, PMCs and AKEs in line with airline and safety standards.
• Use hand‑held scanning devices to locate, track and identify shipments accurately.
• Inspect inbound cargo for discrepancies, damage or irregularities and report any issues.
• Complete all required documentation in accordance with company and airline procedures.
• Support the safe and efficient movement of cargo within the warehouse and airside areas.

Required profile

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).
• Previous experience in warehouse or cargo handling is desirable.
• Strong understanding of health and safety within a warehouse setting.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast‑paced role.
• Must pass pre‑employment checks, including a 5‑year employment/education history and DBS check.

What we offer

• Salary £32,000‑£33,000 per year.
• Shift pattern: 4 days on/4 days off, mixing day (06:30‑18:30) and night (18:30‑06:30) shifts.
