Carpenter – Fire Door Specialist (Full‑time)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced carpenter to join a specialist fire‑life safety team. The role focuses on remedial, service and maintenance work for fire doors across the South Coast, ensuring compliance with the latest regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out remedial and maintenance tasks on fire doors identified as non‑compliant.
• Conduct fire‑door inspections and produce detailed reports.
• Attend service calls (typically 1‑2 person jobs) across Southampton to Brighton.
• Work independently on most assignments while adhering to health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a carpenter, confident in hanging a wide variety of doors.
• Ideally familiar with fire‑door systems, or willing to undergo training.
• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 points) and a clear DBS check.
• Residence within the Southampton‑Brighton corridor, preferably in the PO postcode area.
• Comfortable using IT tools for email, file uploads and online reporting.
