Carpenter & Joiner – Full‑time, £40k, Staines

About the role

Join Mears Group as a Carpenter & Joiner on a permanent, full‑time basis, working 42.5 hours per week (8‑5, Monday‑Friday) in Staines‑upon‑Thames. You will be part of a busy repairs and maintenance team delivering high‑quality carpentry services to social housing properties.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out reactive carpentry repairs in occupied homes.
• Perform 1st and 2nd fix carpentry tasks.
• Hang doors, fit skirting, architraves and install windows/doors.
• Change locks, repair worktops and install kitchen units.
• Undertake UPVC repairs and other joinery duties as required.
• Provide excellent customer care throughout each job.

Required profile

• Proven experience in carpentry, preferably within social housing.
• Full, valid UK driving licence (age > 21, held > 3 months, < 9 points).
• Willingness to undergo DBS and security checks.
