Carpenter / Joiner – Repairs & Maintenance (Full‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Joiner to join our Repairs and Maintenance team, delivering high‑quality repairs and refurbishments for occupied and void social housing properties. You will work on a variety of tasks, from minor plumbing and tiling to kitchen and bathroom fitting, using a handheld device to record and manage work.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out responsive and planned repairs on occupied and void properties.
• Perform joinery, minor plumbing, tiling, kitchen and bathroom fitting tasks.
• Use a handheld device to receive and complete assigned tasks.
• Work safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety best practice.
• Provide a high standard of customer experience on every job.

Required profile

• City & Guilds Craft or Level 2 NVQ in Carpentry/Joinery (or equivalent).
• Excellent knowledge of health & safety regulations.
• Customer‑focused with experience working in void properties.
• Holding or working towards a CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card.
• Valid full or automatic UK driving licence held for at least 12 months (company vehicle provided).
• Social housing experience is advantageous.
