Carpenter/Joiner – Night Shift (6‑month contract)

About the role

An exciting 6‑month contract opportunity for an experienced Carpenter/Joiner on the night shift, supporting key infrastructure works for a major London transport network. The role is based in a specialist workshop and involves manufacturing, repairing and installing precision timber components.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture, modify and repair timber components to specification.
• Install timber items on site when required.
• Operate hand and power tools, woodworking machines and other workshop equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings and templates to produce timber assemblies.
• Drive workshop vehicles to and from work sites as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Required profile

• Apprenticeship or equivalent hands‑on joinery experience.
• Proficient at reading engineering drawings and producing timber assemblies.
• Comfortable using machinery, overhead cranes and mechanical handling tools.
• Ability to apply finishes and safely handle workshop solutions.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and able to pass additional site‑access checks.
