Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Carpentry and Joinery professional to join our further education college as a Lecturer. This full‑time, permanent position offers the chance to share industry knowledge with learners and help shape the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom lessons and practical workshop sessions for Entry Level to Level 3 Carpentry and Joinery programmes.
• Assess learner progress and develop learning resources aligned with curriculum standards.
• Support curriculum development and foster employer engagement activities.
• Prepare students for employment, apprenticeships, and further study pathways.

Required profile

• A Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Carpentry and Joinery or a related construction discipline.
• Significant industry experience in Carpentry and Joinery, such as Carpenter, Joiner, or Site Supervisor.
• Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
• Passion for teaching and developing skilled tradespeople.
