About the role
We are seeking a motivated trade professional or educator to join our expanding Construction & Building Services department as a Carpentry Lecturer. The successful candidate will design and deliver engaging carpentry courses in both practical workshop settings and theoretical classroom environments, supporting students throughout their learning journey.
Key responsibilities
- Teach carpentry modules across various learner levels, blending practical skills training with theoretical knowledge.
- Provide ongoing tutorial support and guidance to students.
- Contribute to curriculum development and the continuous growth of the department.
- Complete course administration, marking, and learner progress tracking.
Required profile
- Hands‑on industry experience within the carpentry and construction sector.
- Minimum Level 2 vocational qualification in Carpentry (or equivalent).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to inspire and engage learners.
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one (desirable).
