Case Maker / Production Operative – Woodworking & Assembly

About the role

This permanent position is with a well‑established manufacturing and logistics business in Poole. You will be responsible for producing high‑quality wooden cases and crates, combining hands‑on craftsmanship with efficient assembly and packing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and pack wooden cases and crates accurately and efficiently.
• Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and prepare wooden components.
• Shrink‑wrap, palletise and box products for dispatch.
• Operate mechanical handling equipment for loading and unloading.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and support general maintenance tasks.
• Occasionally assist with deliveries and collections.
• Support the Production Manager with daily production tasks.

Required profile

• Practical experience using hand or power tools, machinery or workshop equipment.
• Experience working with wood, timber or wooden assemblies.
• Comfortable in a manufacturing, assembly or warehouse environment.
• Full UK manual driving licence (essential).
• Reliable, flexible and able to adapt to changing workloads.
