Cash and Working Capital Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a driven Cash & Working Capital Analyst to join our UK Finance team within a leading global logistics organisation. This role offers a part‑qualified finance professional the chance to own cash flow forecasting, banking operations and working capital reporting in a fast‑moving international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily cash positions and liquidity across UK entities.
• Own and maintain a 13‑week cash flow forecast.
• Process and approve payments via HSBCnet and Barclays.
• Act as the primary contact with banking partners.
• Monitor and report on working capital performance (AR, AP, cash).
• Produce monthly debt turn and dilution metrics.
• Review bank reconciliations and support month‑end close.
• Administer banking platforms, user access and mandates.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and reconcile HMRC accounts.
• Identify and implement finance process improvements and automation.
• Support transition of activities to an offshore shared‑service team.
• Collaborate with UK finance leadership and international/offshore teams.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in a finance role with cash flow forecasting, banking and reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of AP/AR and working capital concepts.
• AAT qualified; studying towards CIMA or ACCA (study support available).
• Degree not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast‑paced, transformational environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Power BI (knowledge advantageous).
• Financial systems such as CargoWise, Oracle or EXACT.
• Banking platforms HSBCnet and Barclays.
