Casual Waiting Person – Flexible Shifts

About the role

We are looking for a Casual Waiting Person to join our Caterplus team at Twelve Acres Place in Chichester. You will work flexible, as‑and‑when‑required shifts, delivering friendly and efficient service to guests in our over‑55 community catering sites.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat customers warmly and professionally.
• Take food and drink orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar.
• Serve meals and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met.
• Attend to customer enquiries, special requests and maintain a clean dining area.
• Process cash or card payments and handle basic numeracy tasks.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Collaborate with kitchen, bar and fellow team members to ensure smooth service flow.
• Assist with setup and closing duties as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is an advantage.
• Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings.
