Casualty Claims Handler – Liability Team

About the role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Casualty Claims Handler to join their Liability team in Manchester. Working on a hybrid basis, you will apply your knowledge of employer and public liability to investigate and resolve claims while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate employer and public liability claims from initial intake through to settlement.
• Assess legal and policy liability, quantify losses and recommend appropriate actions.
• Gather and analyse evidence, including statements, documents and expert reports.
• Prepare detailed reports that meet client requirements and service standards.
• Maintain accurate records in the claims management system and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in handling casualty or liability claims, preferably within an insurance or claims environment.
• Strong understanding of employer and public liability principles and relevant legislation.
• Excellent analytical and investigative abilities with a focus on timely resolution.
• Effective communication skills to interact with claimants, witnesses and internal stakeholders.
