Casualty Fraud Litigated Claims Handler

About the role

The Casualty Fraud Litigated Claims Handler will manage a caseload of suspected fraudulent employer liability (EL) and public liability (PL) claims for a range of insurance clients. The role demands a forensic, analytical mindset and the ability to work within client service level agreements while handling fast‑track and higher‑value cases.

Key responsibilities

• Assess primary and secondary liability concepts in EL/PL claims.
• Prepare initial reports, set claim strategies and manage cases in line with client SLAs.
• Review and analyse evidence such as witness statements, medical records, occupational health files and property inspection reports.
• Handle disclosure, conduct investigations and manage case management conferences (CMCs) and applications.
• Instruct counsel, investigators and medical experts; draft expert questions and cost schedules.
• Maintain routine correspondence, draft documents, conduct research and prepare pre‑trial reports.
• Attend conferences and trials with counsel, prepare trial bundles and manage CRU appeals.
• Ensure compliance with SRA standards and regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling EL/PL litigation caseloads.
• Previous litigation experience with a track record of meeting targets.
• Strong advocacy, communication and client‑care skills.
• Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High analytical ability, attention to detail and decision‑making competence.
• Resilience, self‑control and alignment with Keoghs shared values.
