Casualty Loss Adjuster – Liability Claims

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Casualty Loss Adjuster to join a well‑established adjusting practice with a strong reputation across the UK and international insurance market. You will manage a varied portfolio of liability claims, working closely with insurers, brokers, solicitors and policyholders from first instruction through to settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of casualty claims, including employers’ liability, public liability and product liability.
• Investigate claim circumstances, assess liability and interview claimants, witnesses and other parties.
• Liaise with insurers, brokers, solicitors and policyholders throughout the claims process.
• Prepare detailed reports and recommendations and negotiate settlements where appropriate.
• Support colleagues on larger or more complex losses as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience handling casualty or liability claims.
• Background in loss adjusting, insurance claims or a related liability environment.
• Strong investigative and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage own workload and build effective stakeholder relationships.
• Relevant qualifications such as Cert CILA, Dip CILA or similar are advantageous.
