About the role
We are seeking a Casualty Underwriter to join a leading commercial insurer’s mid‑corporate team. The role involves underwriting new and existing casualty business, building broker relationships and driving profitable growth.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite and manage mid‑corporate casualty risks, both specialist and traditional.
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers across the regional market.
- Identify opportunities for account growth while ensuring long‑term retention of quality business.
- Collaborate with specialist divisions to deliver tailored insurance solutions.
Required profile
- Knowledge of mid‑corporate casualty underwriting (or commercial combined / liability with interest in specialising).
- Trading mentality with strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Technical underwriting competence and experience within broking is advantageous.
Required skills
