Catastrophic Injury Associate – Manchester (Hybrid)

About the role

Join an award‑winning international law firm as a Catastrophic Injury Associate within a highly regarded defendant litigation team in Manchester. You will work on complex, high‑profile catastrophic injury claims, particularly those involving police law matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of catastrophic injury claims arising from police law, including serious injury, assault, false imprisonment, human rights, data protection and Equality Act matters.
• Handle your own files while supporting complex, sensitive, high‑value matters such as group litigation and cases of significant public interest.
• Collaborate with recognised experts in defendant litigation and maintain direct client contact.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer.
• Experience handling defendant catastrophic injury, large loss or complex EL/PL litigation.
• Experience in police law or public authority litigation is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong technical ability, excellent communication skills and confidence to manage a varied caseload.
