About the role
As a Category Manager for Professional Services within Corporate Services, you will own a diverse portfolio of indirect spend, driving strategy and value across finance, HR, legal and other corporate functions. Based in Leeds with a hybrid working model, you will play a key part in shaping procurement initiatives that support business transformation.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies that deliver sustainable cost efficiencies and value.
- Lead end‑to‑end sourcing, tendering and contract management activities for professional services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Finance, HR, Legal and Corporate Functions.
- Identify spend optimisation opportunities, reduce costs and improve supplier performance.
- Conduct complex negotiations and manage strategic supplier relationships.
- Support major business initiatives and investment programmes with commercial expertise.
- Contribute to procurement transformation and continuous improvement projects.
- Manage risk, governance and compliance within the category.
- Create and maintain a pipeline of sourcing and value‑delivery opportunities.
Required profile
- Proven experience in procurement and category management, particularly within professional or corporate services.
- Strong background managing indirect spend categories.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver category strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Commercial acumen with a track record of delivering measurable value.
- Experience handling complex sourcing projects and contract negotiations.
- Ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders and suppliers.
- Highly motivated, able to manage multiple priorities and work at pace.
