Category & Sourcing Manager – Cost & Procurement

About the role

Santander UK is seeking a Category & Sourcing Manager to join its Cost & Procurement (CFO) team. Based in Milton Keynes, Bradford or Glasgow, you will lead supplier and category management activities that support the bank’s cost‑to‑income targets.

Key responsibilities

• Build multi‑year sourcing and category strategies using market data and industry trends.
• Lead and execute complex, strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Drive cost savings and business benefits aligned with procurement and business objectives.
• Translate business strategy into actionable sourcing and category plans.
• Identify value through contract lifecycle management.
• Support stakeholder engagement across the organisation.
• Ensure supplier performance meets quality, compliance and cost expectations.
• Contribute to financial planning, forecasting and budget management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in category management, sourcing or procurement within a large organisation.
• Ability to act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset and commercial acumen.
