Catering Assistant – School Kitchen

About the role

Join the catering team at Blundells School and help deliver healthy, tasty meals to students and staff. This permanent part‑time position works on a two‑week rotating schedule, offering a balanced mix of on‑site kitchen duties and time off.

Key responsibilities

• Serve and replenish meals during designated service periods.
• Carry out basic food preparation and portioning.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, storage areas, and kitchen equipment.
• Set up and clear down for school events and functions.
• Follow health, safety and food‑safety standards at all times.

Required profile

• Customer‑focused attitude with a genuine enthusiasm for food service.
• Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions.
• Reliability and punctuality to meet the fixed rota.

Required skills

• Basic food preparation techniques.
• Understanding of health and food safety regulations.
