Catering Lecturer – Full‑time Temporary Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Catering Lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching to learners in further education settings across South East England. This full‑time, temporary position offers the chance to shape the next generation of hospitality professionals by sharing your industry knowledge and culinary expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in Catering, Professional Cookery, Hospitality and related programmes.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate teaching records in line with college requirements.
• Create an inclusive, supportive learning environment that encourages practical skill development.
• Ensure all practical sessions comply with food hygiene, health and safety, and industry regulations.
• Contribute to learner achievement, retention and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Catering, Professional Cookery, Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts or a related field.
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching Catering in further, higher or adult education environments.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
