About the role
Join a leading global high‑frequency trading firm as a C/C++ Software Engineer within the Core Development team. You will work in a fast‑paced London office that blends start‑up energy with the stability of an established player, building the next generation of algorithmic trading platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain high‑performance C/C++ components for fast networking, HPC and real‑time acceleration.
- Collaborate with traders and technologists to co‑design hybrid hardware/software solutions.
- Implement low‑level and embedded software applications that support the firm’s trading operations.
- Contribute to API design and ensure robust, scalable code delivery.
Required profile
- Strong C/C++ design and programming expertise with solid API design experience.
- Broad knowledge of algorithms and a basic understanding of statistics and algebra.
- Hands‑on experience with Python, Matlab or R for data analytics (Matplotlib, numpy preferred).
- Proven track record developing low‑level or embedded software in a dynamic environment.
- Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field; not a fresh graduate.
