C+E (Class 1) Driver – Powder Tanker

About the role

GXO Logistics in Dagenham is seeking experienced HGV Category C+E (Class 1) drivers to operate powder tankers for our client, Breedon Cement. The role is full‑time, permanent and involves early‑morning shifts delivering cement to construction and manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Perform single‑drop deliveries (2‑3 per shift) from the Dagenham depot to customers.
• Load and discharge cement powder under pressure from tanker to silo.
• Maintain clear communication with the transport office and report any issues.
• Operate company vehicles safely, legally and efficiently while completing required documentation.

Required profile

• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph cards.
• No more than six current penalty points.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating heavy goods vehicles (HGV) with C+E licence.
• Ability to handle powder tanker equipment safely.

What we offer

• £18.92 per hour (£49,192 per annum based on 50 hours/week).
