Central Product Optimiser – 24/7 Waste Network Desk

About the role

The Central Product Optimiser will join Yorkshire Water’s Central Control team, providing 24/7 oversight of the Waste Networks Desk. You will help ensure continuous, high‑quality service for water and wastewater customers across Yorkshire.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and optimise product performance for the Waste Networks Desk on a 24‑hour, 365‑day rota.
• Analyse operational data to identify trends, incidents and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with field teams, engineering and customer service to resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records and produce regular performance reports for senior management.
• Support the development and implementation of process enhancements and new technologies.

Required profile

• Experience in a control‑room, operations or product optimisation environment, preferably within utilities or environmental services.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns covering all days of the week.
