Centre Swim School Lead

About the role

The Centre Swim School Lead will act as the bridge between customers, swimming teachers and the leisure centre team at Henley Leisure Centre. You will oversee the swim school programme, ensuring high‑quality lessons, strong customer service and steady growth in pupil numbers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and expand the range of swim school courses.
• Drive pupil progression, attainment and retention.
• Manage lesson delivery, quality and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Mentor, train and evaluate swimming teachers; support recruitment of new staff.
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints and create a positive customer journey.
• Promote swim school products using marketing resources and engage with the local community.

Required profile

• Fully qualified swimming teacher with a Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming (STA or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience leading a team of swimming teachers (desirable).
• Strong focus on customer service and health‑and‑safety.
• Team‑player attitude with a proactive, improvement‑driven mindset.

Required skills

• Experience with the CoursePro administration system (beneficial but not essential).
