Challenging Behavior Teacher – Greenwich

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Behaviour Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Greenwich. You will work with pupils who need additional behavioural and pastoral support, delivering engaging lessons and fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons for secondary‑aged students.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies that build confidence and resilience.
• Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and senior leaders.
• Create a structured, inclusive classroom where every learner can thrive.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions to meet individual pupil needs.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
• Proven classroom management skills.
• Experience supporting students with challenging behaviour.
• Ability to build strong, positive relationships with secondary‑aged pupils.
