Change Engineer – SAP S/4HANA Projects (Belfast)

About the role

Airbus is expanding its ERP landscape by deploying SAP S/4HANA at its new Belfast site, which produces A220 wings and fuselage components. The Change Engineer will lead the change management programme, ensuring a smooth transition of Tier‑1 supplier operations into the Airbus core system while maintaining production continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute the localized Change Management Plan, including the “Case for Change” and business readiness assessments.
• Develop training content and documentation using SAP Enable Now and coordinate “Train‑the‑Trainer” sessions for hundreds of end‑users.
• Lead the deployment framework, oversee hyper‑care support, and manage post‑implementation governance.
• Bridge the Belfast integration team with Airbus ERP Change Team, securing stakeholder buy‑in during the M&A transition.
• Apply AI and data‑analytics tools to forecast risks, analyse macro‑economic impacts and automate reporting.

Required profile

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Production or Supply‑Chain (or HNC with 8 + years experience) and at least 5 years of change‑management experience in aerospace, automotive or defence.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale integrations, preferably with Tier‑1 structures suppliers.
• Strong leadership, autonomous decision‑making and senior‑level negotiation skills.
• Fluent English; additional French or German is a plus.
