Change & Release Manager

About the role

The Change & Release Manager will join a leading enterprise organisation on a 3‑month initial contract (inside IR35) to support a major transformation programme. Working remotely, you will provide additional capacity to an established Change & Release function during a period of exceptionally high change activity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Change Requests from submission through approval, ensuring governance standards are met.
• Review, challenge and improve Change Requests in collaboration with technical delivery teams.
• Coordinate Change and Release activities across multiple concurrent projects and workstreams.
• Support planning, scheduling and execution of IT releases.
• Build strong relationships with project teams, technical stakeholders and third‑party suppliers.
• Attend programme and project meetings to identify upcoming Change and Release activity early.
• Maintain Release Plans and ensure processes balance governance with delivery timescales.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an IT Change Manager or Change & Release Manager in a large enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of ITIL Change Management and Release Management principles.
• Experience handling high volumes of concurrent IT changes and releases.
• Background supporting enterprise transformation, migration, integration or large‑scale business change programmes.
