Charity Solicitor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Charity Solicitor to join our Oxford office. You will work within a Legal 500‑ranked firm, providing specialist advice to charities and not‑for‑profit organisations while enjoying a collaborative, hybrid working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on charity formation, registration and trustee duties.
• Guide governance, regulatory compliance, charity mergers, asset transfers, closures and de‑registrations.
• Liaise with the Charity Commission on a variety of matters.
• Prepare and review constitutions, governance documents and internal policies to ensure compliance with current legal requirements.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and represent the firm at networking events.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) advising charities on governance, administration and regulatory matters.
• Excellent technical knowledge of charity law and strong communication skills.
• Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and deliver high‑quality service.
• Willingness to support business development and enhance the firm’s reputation in the sector.
