Charity Solicitor – £60k-£85k (Hybrid)

About the role

The Legists are seeking an experienced Charity Solicitor to join their Legal 500‑ranked team in Milton Keynes. You will advise charities, trustees and not‑for‑profit organisations on a wide range of legal, governance and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the establishment, registration and de‑registration of charitable entities.
• Advise on trustee duties, governance structures and regulatory compliance.
• Handle charity mergers, asset transfers, closures and liaise with the Charity Commission.
• Draft and review constitutions, governance documentation and internal policies.
• Support business development and networking activities to raise the team’s profile.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Demonstrable experience advising charities on governance, administration and regulatory matters.
• Strong technical expertise in charity law and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to build lasting client relationships and deliver high‑quality service.
