Chartered Building Surveyor – Commercial Projects

About the role

The practice is seeking a Chartered Commercial Building Surveyor to join its Cambridge office. You will work within a people‑focused, multi‑disciplinary consultancy delivering a mix of project and professional services for commercial, education, healthcare, defence, residential and local authority clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and specification of building works
• Contract administration and clerk‑of‑works duties
• Conducting building, condition and dilapidation surveys
• Defect diagnosis and pre‑acquisition assessments
• Managing party‑wall matters and neighbourly issues
• Preparing tender documentation and analysing returns
• Advising clients on project and professional instructions

Required profile

• Degree in Building Surveying
• MRICS qualification or working towards chartership
• Experience in building surveys and professional services
• Strong project management capability
• Proactive, organised and commercially aware approach
• Full UK driving licence
