Chartered Building Surveyor – Exeter, £50k+ Benefits

About the role

We are seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our growing Southwest team in Exeter. You will work on a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential and rural properties, delivering both professional and project‑led surveying services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer contracts and deliver refurbishment and improvement schemes.
• Conduct building surveys, diagnose defects and produce technical reports.
• Prepare schedules of condition and dilapidations instructions.
• Develop preventative maintenance programmes and provide lifecycle advice.
• Carry out reinstatement cost assessments and other professional surveying services.
• Build and nurture relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities.

Required profile

• MRICS‑qualified Building Surveyor.
• Proven experience in both professional and project work.
• Strong technical knowledge and excellent report‑writing ability.
• Confident client‑facing approach with commercial awareness.
• Motivation to grow client relationships and contribute to business growth.
