Chartered Building Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join a well‑established surveying practice in Uckfield, East Sussex. This permanent, full‑time position offers a hybrid working pattern – two days in the office and three days on site across Sussex, Kent and London – delivering high‑quality services to both private and public sector clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver a variety of construction projects, from £200m contracts to smaller domestic works.
• Provide professional services such as Level 3 Building Surveys, Dilapidations, Party Wall Act matters and defect investigations.
• Act as both Contract Administrator and Employer’s Agent where required.
• Maintain strong relationships with local authorities and existing clients.

Required profile

• Chartered Building Surveyor with a forward‑thinking, adaptable attitude.
• Proven experience in project management, contract administration and employer representation.
• Full UK driving licence – mileage fully expensed.
• Positive attitude and commitment to continuous professional development.
