Chef de Partie

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Chef de Partie to join an independent pub with rooms in Stroud, currently operating at one Rosette. You will work alongside a small, experienced kitchen team and support the Head Chef in delivering high‑quality British and French dishes using fresh, seasonal produce.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard across all kitchen sections.
• Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily service operations and menu execution.
• Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials.
• Maintain hygiene and food safety standards, including a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.
• Ensure smooth kitchen workflow and timely service during busy periods.

Required profile

• Currently working at a one‑Rosette level (two Rosettes desirable but not essential).
• Strong passion for cooking and desire to grow within a supportive, non‑corporate environment.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative and work flexibly as part of a team.
• Commitment to work‑life balance and excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or ability to obtain one).
• Solid knowledge of meat, fish and vegetable preparation.
• Experience with British and French cuisine techniques.
• Ability to work with seasonal and locally sourced produce.
