Chef – Flexible Agency Shifts in Glasgow

About the role

Join HRC Recruitment as a chef on a flexible, agency‑driven basis serving a variety of venues across Glasgow and its surroundings. You will pick shifts that fit your schedule and be paid weekly, with rates ranging from £16 to £18 per hour depending on the location.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals during assigned shifts, which may run any day of the week.
• Work independently as the sole chef on‑site, supported by a kitchen or catering assistant where available.
• Perform home baking and catering for small to medium resident groups (10‑100 people) as required.
• Adapt quickly to different kitchen environments and menu specifications.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year experience in a comparable chef role.
• Confidence in moving between varied kitchen settings.
• Understanding that shift patterns change weekly.

Required skills

• Food safety and allergen handling knowledge (training provided).
