Chef Lecturer – BTEC Culinary Skills (Full‑time, Temporary)

About the role

This is a full‑time, temporary position starting in September 2026, delivering BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 professional cookery and culinary skills at a further‑education college in Greater Manchester. The initial contract is for two months, with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver BTEC culinary curricula for Levels 2 and 3.
• Provide tutorial and pastoral support to a diverse group of learners.
• Maintain college standards for health, safety and hygiene in the teaching kitchen.
• Assess student work and record progress in line with college policies.
• Collaborate with the Catering and Hospitality department to enhance the learning environment.

Required profile

• UK‑recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, QTS).
• Professional cookery or equivalent culinary qualifications at Level 2/3.
• Current DBS check on the update service.
• Relevant back‑of‑house kitchen experience.
