About the role

Capital City College Group is seeking a Chef Lecturer to join its Culinary Arts department in London. The role combines practical kitchen expertise with a passion for teaching, helping students progress to professional culinary careers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality lectures, workshops and practical sessions in line with the awarding body’s framework.
• Design and assess coursework, projects and examinations for culinary programmes.
• Maintain a safe, well‑equipped teaching kitchen and demonstrate both classical and modern cooking techniques.
• Mentor students, providing feedback and guidance to support their personal and professional development.
• Collaborate with fellow lecturers to share best practices and innovate curriculum delivery.

Required profile

• Extensive experience working in leading UK or European kitchens, including kitchen and larder production.
• Proven ability to teach or train staff in a culinary environment.
• Strong commitment to student development and a desire to inspire the next generation of chefs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant culinary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
