About the role

Join Busy Bees as a Chef in our Edinburgh nursery, where you will create nutritious meals that support the growth and development of young children. You will be part of a dedicated kitchen team delivering high‑quality, balanced food in a caring early‑years environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals for children each day.
• Follow dietary guidelines and nutritional standards appropriate for early years.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness at all times.
• Collaborate with nursery staff to coordinate meal times and special dietary requirements.
• Manage stock, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.

Required profile

• Passion for cooking and delivering nutritious food for children.
• Experience in catering, food service or a similar kitchen environment.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and follow established procedures.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
