Chef – Part‑time, 24 hrs/week at Yorkshire Clinic

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Chef to join the catering team at Yorkshire Clinic in Bingley. Working 24 hours per week on a part‑time basis, you will support the Head Chef in delivering fresh, nutritious meals to patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to high standards of taste, presentation and quality.
• Supervise Catering Assistants and manage kitchen operations in the Head Chef’s absence.
• Mentor and train kitchen staff, sharing knowledge to maintain consistent quality.
• Monitor inventory, order ingredients and ensure proper storage and rotation of perishable items.
• Enforce strict food hygiene and safety standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with the Head Chef, kitchen team and front‑of‑house staff, providing a personable service to patients.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a fast‑paced catering or healthcare setting.
• Food Hygiene Level 3 certification.
• NVQ Level 2 or higher in Catering and Hospitality.
• Strong teamwork attitude and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
