Chef – Specialist Care Home (London)

About the role

We are looking for a Chef to join Luso Court Care Centre, a newly commissioned specialist care home in Clapham, London. You will prepare and serve high‑quality, nutritious meals that support the wellbeing of residents with complex nursing, dementia and mental health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present meals that meet individual dietary requirements and nutritional standards.
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene and presentation standards in line with regulatory guidelines.
• Contribute to menu planning and adapt dishes to resident preferences.
• Organise kitchen workflow, stock and equipment to ensure smooth daily service.
• Collaborate with care staff to deliver consistent, timely meals without late evenings or split shifts.

Required profile

• City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 qualification or equivalent, or working towards a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
• Positive, reliable approach to duties.
