Chef Trainer – Events Catering (London & South-East)

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Chef Trainer to lead the creation of high‑quality canapés and support a fast‑paced events kitchen serving premium clients across London and the South‑East. The role combines culinary excellence with mentoring trainees from challenging backgrounds.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute visually stunning canapés for high‑profile events.
• Work across production and live service, including evenings and weekends.
• Inspire, coach and develop a team of trainees, sharing best practices.
• Maintain consistent food quality and exceed client expectations.
• Assist with menu development, food preparation systems and event logistics.
• Uphold food safety standards, organise stock and manage inventory.

Required profile

• Proven experience producing high‑quality canapés or event catering in a fast‑paced kitchen.
• Creative, detail‑oriented approach with a strong focus on presentation.
• Confidence to lead by example and support the growth of others.
• Interest or experience in training, mentoring or coaching team members.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to perform under pressure.
