Chemistry Teacher – Secondary School

About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to join a high‑achieving secondary school in Brent. You will deliver engaging chemistry lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils, with the opportunity to teach biology and physics as well. The position starts on a permanent basis from September 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, develop and deliver interactive chemistry lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students to maximise their progress.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to design curriculum, assessments and cross‑subject projects.
- Participate in departmental meetings and school‑wide initiatives.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive laboratory environment.
Required profile
- Degree in Science, Science Education or a related discipline.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Minimum three years of experience teaching General Science at secondary level.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Passion for inspiring students in the sciences.
