Chief Technology Officer

About the role

AXA, a global leader in insurance and financial services, is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to shape its technology vision. The CTO will lead a multidisciplinary team, translating business strategy into innovative, scalable, and resilient technology solutions that support AXA’s long‑term success.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and communicate the IT and enterprise architecture strategy aligned with AXA’s business goals and industry trends.
• Lead strategic planning, defining future‑state architectures and technology roadmaps.
• Oversee governance of IT solutions to ensure compliance with standards and alignment to target architectures.
• Collaborate with business units and external vendors to drive seamless technology integration.
• Support design and implementation of cloud, data, and AI infrastructure for advanced analytics and automation.
• Manage the solution architecture team to deliver innovative, customer‑centric project solutions.
• Foster a high‑performance, inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning.
• Act as a trusted partner to executive leadership, translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a multi‑disciplinary technology function in a complex, regulated environment.
• Strong track record in developing and executing enterprise and solution architecture strategies.
• Demonstrable leadership skills with a focus on inspiring teams, driving change, and developing talent.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence C‑level executives.
