Childcare Solicitor – 2+ Years PQE – £50k+ (DOE)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join our established department in Bedfordshire. You will take ownership of an existing caseload of public children matters, delivering high‑quality advocacy and supporting clients throughout the litigation process.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied childcare caseload, including care proceedings and related family law work.
• Progress Legal Aid matters efficiently and handle interim billing via the CCMS portal.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of developments in children’s law and practice.
• Support networking and business development activities.
• Ensure compliance with Law Society Children Panel requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in children’s law.
• Strong advocacy skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Membership of the Law Society Children Panel (essential).
• Commitment to continuous professional development in the sector.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the CCMS portal for case and billing management.
